Casa Grande
This is our community development model, which we implement in the places where we operate.

How it works:

Casa Grande promotes productive and social projects in the community, supporting these projects with financing and training to create local jobs. These actions foster diversification and strengthen economic activities to raise the quality of life in the community.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Dr. Vagón

Through the Grupo México Foundation and with the support of the Transportation Division, we offer free health services to the most remote communities in Mexico thanks to Dr. Vagon, a mobile clinic that travels the country by train.

We provided more than 359,000 comprehensive medical services in 2018 and delivered over 114,187 free prescription medications thanks to this initiative, unparalleled in the American continent.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Grupo México Schools

In Mexico and Peru, the children of our mine employees are guaranteed quality education at the schools we have created and financed just for them.

We are rebuilding the social weave and generating value, which translates into overall wellbeing and improvement of the quality of life.

COMMUNITY TRANSPORTATION SERVICE

The El Chepe passenger service issues discount cards to members of the Tarahumara community and others of limited resources living in isolated communities in the states of Chihuahua and Sinaloa whose only means of transport is the train.

CANANEA REGIONAL SPECIALIZATION HOSPITAL

Inaugurated at the beginning of 2015, this hospital was built by the joint effort of the federal government, the Sonora state government and Grupo México, which contributed with an investment of more than US$7.2 million.

This is the first hospital with universal access in Mexico, receiving all health insurance plans and also people without any type of coverage.
